INTERVIEW WITH HALLE SULLIVAN

Halle, where are you based out of? Is this where you grew up?

"I am based out of Atlanta, Georgia. I grew up in a very small town with one stoplight called Newville, Pennsylvania."

How would you describe the industry in your city?

"Atlanta, Georgia is booming with opportunity. It is also booming with talent that have moved here in all walks of life. They call us southern Hollywood over here because we are continuously growing in the industry each and every day."

What are your thoughts about working on a film here in the Upstate of South Carolina?

"I've enjoyed all of my time working on All That is Evil in Upstate South Carolina. It's been a warming and calming experience to escape the everyday hustle and bustle of Atlanta. I feel like I've been building a family on this film, instead of completing a job and moving right on to the next. There's so much to gain from a film where you're getting to build relationships and memories with a cast and crew who want to see you shine in this business. I owe a huge thank you to this entire team for trusting and believing in me for this project. It's been an absolute honor getting to work in Upstate South Carolina on All That is Evil."

Let's get into the history... How did you get your start as an actor?

"I was a shy kid growing up. I never had a lot of friends in elementary or middle school. Just a few close buddies I loved dearly. After experimenting in just about every sport, I still never found something that lit my heart on fire. I remember this day like it was yesterday, but I was walking the halls my freshman year of High School and I came across a flyer hanging on a bulletin board that read "Audition for the Fall Play!" Don't ask me how such a shy girl like me gained the courage to audition, but I did. I ended up getting casted as one of the leads, and quickly realized that God led me into something I've been seeking my whole life. Performing. Fast forward to college where I became fascinated with TV/Film. It wasn't just the performance of it all, it was how the film was made, the colors, the lighting, and the camera movements. When I discovered you could make an audience feel a certain way from the screen, I was in love. I had my first real set experience as an extra on a film set. After about a year of doing background work, I was ready to take on the challenge of bigger roles in the film industry. There was only one problem. I met my husband at the end of college who was immediately going into active duty service with the army. The first duty station we got sent to was Fort. Wainwright, Alaska for the next 3 years. I thought right away my dreams were over. But in time, God would tell me over and over again that "your time is coming." We could have gotten any duty station after Alaska, and trust me there are a lot of them haha. But we ended up getting Georgia - one of the biggest hubs for the film industry. Currently, I am signed here in the southeast making the most of this career I love so dearly. We are here to stay. This is home."

Who is your celebrity crush and why?

"You may know him as The Witcher but Henry Cavill is by far hands down my celebrity crush. haha no explanation needed on that one."

Which actor/actress would you compare yourself to?

"When it comes to comedy, I would compare myself to Lauren Lapkus. When it comes to Drama, I compare myself to Elisabeth Moss. I study her a lot on camera, and tend to find we work very similar."

Who inspired you to become an entertainer?

"Even though I knew from a very young age that acting was at the top of my list, it wasn't until I was a full time stand in for Rachel Brosnahan (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel) who really encouraged me to stick with it and to never give up. At our wrap dinner, she wrote me a letter. "I have a feeling we will be seeing more of each other in the future." I haven't looked back since."

What aspirations do you have? Any specific projects, genres, or characters?

"I've always wanted to star in a western. Put me on a horse any day!"

Tell us a little bit about your character in All That Is Evil.

"Rebecca Wyatt is the wife of Deputy Wyatt who has had to take a lot of responsibility when it comes to keeping the town safe from evil. Rebecca is what I would like to call a "tough cookie." She's 9 months pregnant with her daughter Charlotte and having to deal with the chaos of a town that seems to be falling to shambles. She chooses strength, and finds the courage to always support and uplift her husband who is doing so much for the people around her. Rebecca is a great example of a wife who cares about the wellbeing of others before her own."

You've read the script... What do you think will excite audiences about All That Is Evil?

"What I believe is going to excite the audience about this film is you really have no idea what's going to happen next. Like ever. Even when I first read through the script, I was on the edge of my seat the whole time trying to piece together what's happening. A thrilling and chilling horror film of Good vs Evil."
