An independent film crew is aiming to bring a Hollywood-level production to the Upstate of South Carolina. But are they from Hollywood? No. These filmmakers call South Carolina home — and they hope to inspire industry growth by showcasing the talent that exist within their own backyard.
Don't panic if you see a Witch wandering the streets. While there are some notably haunted areas to be found around South Carolina, it's more than likely an encounter with actress Kay Galvin portraying the face of evil in the locally produced Horror/Thriller, "ALL THAT IS EVIL."
Principal Photography (or the process of filming the movie) for All That Is Evil will take place throughout the summer. A local red carpet premiere is scheduled to debut in Greenville, SC at the end of October 2024. After a limited theatrical run, the film is aimed to be released to streaming platforms and available for world-wide audiences in the Summer of 2025.
Director Silas James Rowland (IMDb), a Greenville-native, is optimistic about the future of filmmaking in South Carolina. With 15 years of experience making movies here in the upstate, he believes this particular project will set the tone for how independent films can deliver on quality visuals and storytelling.
The premise is more than just another "B-MOVIE HORROR" flick. All That Is Evil has a great story, one that was crafted and fine-tuned well before going into production. That's a common mistake a lot of small productions make. They don't have a good script. We're stacking up a cast full of professional actors with years of training. We got all the production gear in state. We got all the people that know how to use it. We're not waiting for Hollywood to give us the green light — we'll just do it ourselves. I have no doubts we're about to make some noise in the indie world of cinema. - Silas, Director of All That Is Evil
This movie is set to explore the elements of evil, and how a town faced with adversity, must stand and face off against the powerful force that's against them. "All That Is Evil will scare and excite you, but it's about more than that, it's going make you think deeper and ask hard questions about yourself. You might not be fighting off an ancient Witch, but when the demons that do come knocking at your door show up, how would you react? Do you cower and hide, or do you stand and fight?" - Silas James Rowland, Writer/Director
